Privacy Notice under the Personal Data Protection Law
Information provided under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data
1. Data controller
Your personal data is processed, within the scope set out below, by Özel Çocuklar Yaşam Destekleme Derneği (OYADDER) acting as data controller under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”).

2. What personal data do we process?
Through the forms we collect only the data needed to assess an application.
2.1 General personal data
- Identity: parent's name and surname, child's name, date of birth, sex
- Contact: telephone number, e-mail address, city
- Family details: relationship to the child (mother/father/other), who will attend the camp
- Transaction security: date of form submission and IP address
- Free text: your expectations, the areas you find difficult, how you heard about us
2.2 Special categories of personal data (health data)
The application form asks for the health data listed below. Under art. 6 of the KVKK these are special categories of personal data and are processed only with your explicit consent:
- Diagnosis status and, where applicable, the diagnosis and its date
- Ongoing support and therapy information
- Medication in use
- Known allergies and intolerances
- History of seizures / epilepsy
- Swimming ability and behaviour around water
- History of wandering (running off)
2.3 Video and audio recording
If you are accepted onto the camp, video may be recorded as part of the programme. Two separate and independent explicit consents are taken for this:

3. For what purpose do we process your personal data?
- Receiving and recording your application
- Contacting you for the preliminary meeting
- Assessing whether your child and family are suited to the programme
- Preparing the safety plan to be applied at camp (water safety, medication handling, allergen separation, emergency plan)
- If you are accepted, drawing up the individualised programme and nutrition plan
- Answering your questions and meeting your request
- Fulfilling our legal obligations
4. Legal basis

5. Who is your personal data transferred to?
Your data is shared with nobody outside the limited circle below:
- The programme's specialist team — limited strictly to their own area of assessment; every team member is under a confidentiality obligation
- The camp coordinator and the specialist on duty — the health file, so that the safety plan can be carried out
- Our hosting provider — the server infrastructure on which the data is stored (hosted in Türkiye)
- Authorised public institutions — only where the law requires it
- Emergency medical services — only in an emergency and only to the extent needed for the child's health
The information you send through the application and contact forms is not transferred abroad. The forms are processed on our own server; the notification goes only to our corporate e-mail address, which is hosted in Türkiye. Your child's health information does not leave the country.
The one exception is visit statistics: Google Analytics 4 measurement runs only if you have given cookie consent, and it may process that data abroad. If you do not consent, no data at all is sent to Google.
6. How long do we keep it?

Data whose retention period has expired is erased, destroyed or anonymised in accordance with art. 7 of the KVKK and the related regulation.
7. How do we protect your data?
- Form submissions are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS)
- Application records are kept in a directory that is closed to web access
- Assessment videos are kept in encrypted storage
- Only team members who need the data for their work can reach it
- Every team member is bound by a confidentiality undertaking
- Families may not share images of each other's children — this rule is announced on day 1 of camp
8. Your rights under art. 11 of the KVKK
By applying to the data controller you have the following rights:
- To learn whether your personal data is being processed
- If it has been processed, to request information about it
- To learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose
- To know the third parties to whom the data is transferred, in Türkiye or abroad
- To request correction where the data is incomplete or inaccurate
- To request erasure or destruction within the conditions set out in art. 7 of the KVKK
- To request that correction, erasure or destruction be notified to the third parties the data was transferred to
- To object to an outcome against you arising from analysis carried out solely by automated systems
- To claim compensation if you suffer loss because the data was processed unlawfully

Your application is concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request. Where the process entails a separate cost, the fee in the tariff set by the Board may be charged.
If your application is refused or is not answered in time, your right to complain to the Personal Data Protection Board is reserved.
10. Cookies
No advertising or profiling cookies are used on this site; your data is not used for advertising and is not sold to third parties.
A temporary session cookie is created for the security of form submission; it ends when you close your browser.
Visit statistics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages of the site are read and how much. This service places measurement cookies beginning with _ga in your browser. The data collected is assessed in aggregate; it is not used to identify you, and Google Analytics 4 does not record your IP address. The service is provided by Google Ireland Limited and the data may be processed abroad.
If you do not want to be included in the measurement, you can block these cookies in your browser's cookie settings or install Google's Analytics Opt-out Add-on. This does not stop you using the site.
Our contact page contains a Google Maps frame to show the location. This frame is provided by Google and may place Google's own cookies. Google's Privacy Policy applies to it.
